Henry and Golda Farr first started in the restaurant business in the early 70's with the Golden Hen on Lafayette Road (Route 1) in the town of Hampton. In 1978 The Farr's opened Farr's Famous Chicken at 43 Ashworth Ave. in Hampton Beach, which is where Farr's is today!
The Farr's sold the Golden Hen to put all their energy in to Farr's Famous Chicken. In 1984 after the summer season the Farr's retired and sold the business to Terry and Laurie Sullivan who kept Farr's Famous Chicken until 2006.
After a couple different owners Farr's disappeared and was last a diner.
In 2015 Paul and Judy Conway (Judy is Laurie's sister) brought back Farr's Famous Chicken using the same recipes as the Farr's and the Sullivan's used! Making the Farr's and Sullivan's proud!
